Ski Trail Report

Trails are open for skiing and we are still grooming. Incredible day for early April. Snow squall moved through this morning leaving a dusting of snow then clearing with brilliant April sunshine. Probably the last full day of mid winter skiing meaning dry snow and temperatures below freezing. Great seeing so many folks out today.

We are open the rest of this week and Easter weekend. We have received around 9″ of new snow this week. We are grooming on 20km of trail consisting of Sap Run, Sukkebusk, North Loup and Skaters Waltz down to Bullhead Lake and back. With cooler temps in place, should be nice skiing through the week. Warmer weather looks to move in for the weekend. Best skiing will be in the mornings. Skiing in the morning will also allow the deck to stay intact for skiing the next day.

Grooming plans: We will plan to groom Sap Run, Sukkerbusk and North Loup for classic setting tracks or a track and Skaters Waltz and the skate lane on North Loup for skating. We will no longer be fat bike grooming this season. We had some great riding conditions over the weekend, Monday and Tuesday before the deep snow covered the trail. With warmer weather forecasted for the weekend Full report here:

Total snowfall this season at 90″. Compacted base on trail 7-18″.
