Fat Bike Trails are open. Another sunshiny day with hard freeze overnight. Trail will be open until noon or so. The entire FatLagChilada loop is rideable and rolling good, all things considered.

Use extra caution on the low spots and corners for any icy spots.  The ice on Bullhead lake crossing is 10-12″ and solid on the edges making access to Bullhead Bootleg loop possible.

The trails will remain open through the week in the morning until noon or so, provided it freezes at night is frozen.

The Inner East loops starts on Skaters Waltz to the right and follows along the side dipping into singletrack before going across Bullhead lake to access the Bootleg singletrack loop. Back across the lake to skaters waltz and more singletrack before crossing the road and left in to Maplelag. Signs are out marking the Fat Bike trail and the “FatLagChilada” loop which is all the groomed fat bike trails. The west or Twin Lakes loop can be accessed from the Maplelag driveway including the Sukkerwest loop which is at the end of the Maplelag driveway.

Ski Trail Report

Happy Presidents Day! This will be the last day the trails will be open for skiing with warm weather moving in once again. Great to see a handful of folks out this weekend.

Around 5km of trail open and groomed. Latest grooming with a little snow harvesting was Thursday afternoon. The groomed loop has a very thin base but rock solid. Areas of ice with a few small bare spots but avoidable. The groomed loop begins behind the far freight house shop. Ski through the soccer field and access at the end going either direction on Skaters Waltz guided by the cones and grooming. We do not recommend skiing on the trails not groomed with the hills being unpredictable.  The western and northern trails are open to hiking and walking for guests staying at the resort this weekend.

Last Monday we packed Sukkerbusk, Twin Lakes, North Loup and Sap Run for patrol and potential future skiing purposes. These trails would also be used for the Lotvola Cup course we hope to hold short notice on March 3rd if more snow and favorable temperatures. Stay tuned!

Fat bike trails are open. Latest fat bike trail report.

Please no walking on the ski or fat bike trails. Snowshoe trails are open for hiking and hiking possible on the far side of the ski trails.

Trail passes can be purchased on the products page.

Fat Bike Trail Report

Fat Bike Trails are open. Another great day of riding on tap with favorable temps all day. The entire FatLagChilada loop is rideable and rolling good. Temperatures have been staying well below freezing keeping the base firm and hard. Just a few flakes of lingering flurries this week. The inner loops have been groomed, the outer loops have been rider packed but rolling nice.

Use extra caution on the low spots and corners for any icy spots. The first half of Twin Lakes singletrack is rocky and rooty with the low snow cover. Tuesday we groomed the ski trail access to the start of Hudson’s Hula to have option to bypass the first half of Twin Lakes. The ice on Bullhead lake crossing is 10-12″ and solid on the edges.

With the low snow cover, Skaters Waltz extension and North Loup are also open to fat biking.

The trails will remain open through the week in the morning, provided it is frozen. Generally before noon.

The Inner East loops starts on Skaters Waltz to the right and follows along the side dipping into singletrack before going across Bullhead lake to access the Bootleg singletrack loop. Back across the lake to skaters waltz and more singletrack before crossing the road and left in to Maplelag.
