Warm weather the past few days has loosened the ice on the lake and won’t be long before the lake is free of ice. Latest trail and nature observations on the trail report page.

It has been an interesting season for maple syrup with the warm weather in March but this past week the sap was running nicely with freezing nights and local maple syrup producers had a good week.
Another great retreat for the Back Porch Quilters. Although the snow had melted off the trails making it not possible to ski, the focus is quilting ,of course, and participants enjoy home cooked meals along with relaxation time in the spa area including massages… and a few folks on the trails hiking! The retreat also features special workshops and shows. If you would like to take part in a future quilting retreat, please contact us at Maplelag.

Despite the soft and slow snow this past week, the Canadian group skied the entire trail system during their stay. Latest trail report on the trail report page.
