News Updates and Photos - November 2002
There was no slowing done this month, we were busy with conference/retreats and also hosted the Erin Baer/Rick Muff wedding towards the end of the month. Rick's Dad, Larry, has done most of the septic tank/water line work here at Maplelag. Although the lake froze over the first part of this month, we also had some nice days that were near 60 degrees and not a breath of wind. Now there is a inch of snow on the ground, frost driving deep and we are ready for the transition to winter. We also have been busy upstairs in the library level. Fred and Danny have been building couches, bookshelves and tables. As soon as the dust settles, I will be posting some photos. We should have the library area ready by the winter season. Special thanks to Don Heinrich (uncle to the bride) for providing photos of the wedding
November 8th Although the lake froze over one of the earliest days on record, most of it was burned off during this 60 degree day. The lake re-frooze a week later.

Once we finish the wood work in the library area, Jim will be hanging depot signs on the walls. Here he is pictured with a handful of the collection.

November 13th Although the weather was cool, we were dry most of the month which allowed us to finish trail work. This photo is taken of the end of Lucky's Loype. (A full report in the Trails page.)
